THE CONVERTING WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Through the written word of God, the revealed and finished work of God the Father and Son is shown. Using this perfectly written testament (Ps. 19:7), saved believers are taken from infancy to adulthood through the converting work of the Holy Spirit performed on the souls.

God’s desire is for us to become mature and complete in Him. However, we can’t measure up to that perfection without the help of the Holy Spirit. The converting work fashions us to enjoy God’s blessings in full measure (Matt. 13:14-16) and beyond this, keeps us till we obtain our truly, priceless inheritance in heaven (1 Pet. 1:4-5).

That heavenly inheritance is for the converted souls (Matt 18:1-4). These are believers, who through the work of the Holy Spirit: * are daily increasing in understanding matters of the kingdom (1 Cor. 14:20); * have a child-like heart that yearns after God (Acts 13:22); * have put away childish thoughts, mind-set and judgement (1 Cor. 13:11); * have a broken spirit that fully trusts in God (Ps 51:17); * possess a heart of flesh whose strength is in God alone (Ps 18:1).

May we not hinder the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives in Jesus name.
